CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional

The new Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) training courses and exams better reflect the daily job tasks of professional network engineers. By placing more emphasis on the skills to implement and maintain security, complex routing and switching, and voice/video services, these changes make the initials "CCNP" after your name more valuable than ever.

New to the CCNP program?

You'll need to pass all three exams: ROUTE, SWITCH, and TSHOOT. The new courses that will help you prepare are:

• ROUTE - Implementing Cisco IP Routing v1.0
• SWITCH - Implementing Cisco Switched IP Networks v1.0
• TSHOOT - Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks v1.0

CCNP Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCVP, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum or any CCIE/CCDE written exam before the certification expiration date.

Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved. For more information, access the Cisco About Recertification page.
